This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The grievance of the Petitioner in this writ petition is with regard to inaction of the Tahasildar, Darpan to dispose of the proceeding initiated pursuant to the order passed by the Commissioner, Land Records and Settlement, Odisha, Cuttack in R.P. Case No.1629 of 2006.

Taking into consideration the rival contentions of the parties, this Court vide order dated 7th February, 2022 directed the learned State Counsel to take instruction in the matter and intimate the Court with regard to the stage of the proceeding initiated by the Tahasildar, Darpan pursuant to the direction made in R.P. Case No. 1629 of 2006 and W.A. No.226 of 2018. 4.

Mr. Mishra, learned Additional Government Advocate submits that due to certain difficulty, the matter could not be disposed of as yet. However, the said proceeding is posted to 2nd March, 2022 for hearing.

Mr. Mohanty, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the Petitioner submits that he will instruct the Petitioner to participate in the hearing of the proceeding on the date fixed. He, therefore, prays for a direction for early disposal of the proceeding. 6.

Taking into consideration the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, this Court disposes of this writ petition with a direction that in the event the Petitioner appears before the Tahasildar, Darpan on 2nd March, 2022 along with certified copy of this order, he shall do well to proceed with the matter initiated pursuant to the direction made in R.P. Case No.1629 of 2006 and W.A. No.226 of 2018 and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months therefrom, giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
