1. This matter is taken up through virtual mode.
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3. The Petitioner is in custody in connection with Dasamanthapur P.S. Case No.61/2019 corresponding to C.T. Case No.3/2020 pending in the court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Koraput for the alleged commission of the offence under Section 498-A/302 of I.P.C.

4. Considering the severity of the allegations and the existence of materials, prima facie, in support thereof, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is, therefore, rejected.
5. However, considering the fact that the Petitioner is in custody since 2019 and trial has not yet commenced, the court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.
