This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

Heard learned counsels for the parties.

Mr.S.Palit, learned counsel for the Petitioners handed over a letter dated 20th January, 2022 whereunder the Director, Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has informed the Collectors about the decision which was taken by the Government to hand over the supervision and management of Special Schools for physically challenged persons to selected NGOs has been withdrawn. Accordingly, Letter dated 12th January, 2022 has also been withdrawn.

The subject matter of dispute in the present Writ Petition is letter dated 12th January, 2022. Since the decision taken by the Government has already been withdrawn, the cause of action for the present writ petition does not survive.

In such view of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. The copy of the letter dated 20th January, 2022 handed over by Mr.Palit, learned counsel for the Petitioners today be kept on record.
