The prayer in the writ petition is for quashing the appointment of Opposite Party No.5 as a Scientist in the Institute of Mineral and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar. Opposite Party No.5 even as per the description in the cause title was 57 years at the time of filing of the present petition in 2016. Learned counsel for the Petitioner does not dispute the fact that by now Opposite Party No.5 has superannuated. In fact, he apparently even ceased to be a Director during the pendency of the petition. With the issue becoming purely academic, the Court is not inclined to entertain the present petition any longer. It is dismissed as such. (Dr. S.
