Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to prepare the select list afresh for the Combined Police Service Examination, 2017 in pursuance of advertisement dated 27.12.2017 by suitably correcting the select list dated 01.11.2021 under Annexure-6 on the basis of the total marks secured by the petitioner at Annexure-7 and accordingly issue a revised recommendation in favour of the petitioner for being appointed as Sub-Inspector of Police and issue appointment order in favour of the petitioner and grant all consequential service and financial benefits retrospectively from the date of appointment of his batch-mates.

In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that highlighting the grievances, the petitioner has made representation to the opposite party no.3 vide Annexure-8 and the same may be directed to be disposed of within a stipulated time, taking into consideration Annexures-3, 6 and 7, to which learned State counsel has raised no objection. 5.

As agreed to by learned counsel for the parties, this Court,

without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, disposes of the writ petition directing the opposite party no.3 to consider the representation filed by the petitioner vide Annexure8 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, taking into consideration Annexures-3, 6 and 7, within a period of six weeks from the date of production of authenticated/certified copy of this order.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020 as modified by Court's Notice No. 4798 dated 15th April, 2021 and Court's office order circulated vide Memo Nos. 514 and 515 dated 7th January, 2022.
