Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioners are in custody since 10.01.2022 in connection with E.I. and EB Unit-1, Cuttack vide P.R. No. 224 /21-22 corresponding to 2(a) CC Case No. 22 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned J.M.F.C. (R), Cuttack for the alleged commission of offence under Section 52(a) of Odisha Excise Act.

Considering the submissions made, the materials on record and the fact that investigation appears to have progressed substantially, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioners be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that they shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case without fail.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
