This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

3. The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite parties no.2 & 3 to make payment of remuneration dues of the petitioners i.e. DCA @ Rs.31/- per day per head and ration allowances Rs.200/- per day per head as per their attendance in COVID-19 duty vide Annexure-8 series. They further seek to quash the order dated 28.09.2021 under Annexure-10 and they seek direction to opposite party no.5 to deploy them for assisting the police in management of COVID-19 duty as usual.

4. As it appears, opposite party no.3-Collector & District Magistrate-cum-Controller of Civil Defence, Odisha vide Annexure-9 series dated 16.06.2020 has recommended the case of the petitioners to opposite party no.2. It is contended that the same is pending for consideration and

direction may be issued to consider the same.

5. Considering the limited grievance of the petitioners, this Court disposes of the writ petition directing opposite party no.2 to take a decision on the recommendation made by opposite party no.3 vide Annexure-9 series dated 16.06.2020 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of production/communication of the certified copy of this order.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
