1. Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner points out that for the year 2016-17, the Government has subsequently made a policy change permitting inter-changeability throughout the year.

2. In that view of the matter, the demand notice dated 7th March 2018 will have to be re-examined by the Commissioner in light of the above policy change. The Petitioner's representation to the Commissioner will be decided within four weeks of its being filed provided it is filed within two weeks from today. Till such time the Excise Commissioner decides the said application, the interim order passed by this Court on 29th March 2018, staying the demand will continue.

3. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
