1. Admittedly, one portion of the prayers in the present petition concerning renewal of license for the year 2014-15 does not survive.

2. Mr. L. Pangari, learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioner informs the Court that the Petitioner's factory has itself closed down.

3. As regards the representation made by the Petitioner on 16th April, 2015 (Annexure-19), a direction is issued to the Secretary, Excise Department to dispose it of after hearing the Petitioner within a period of three months and in any event not later than 15th March, 2023. Till such time, the interim order passed by this Court on 28th August, 2015 shall continue.

4. The Court clarifies that it has not expressed any view in the matter. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
