Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Order No.

Standing counsel for the Vigilance department.

2. In the present case, the prayer is for quashing of the criminal proceeding in connection with V.G.R. Case No. 30 of 1993 which corresponds to Balasore Vigilance P.S. Case No. 30 of 1993 pending before the court of learned C.J.M., Balasore.

3. However, a limited prayer is made by the learned counsel for the petitioner which is for a direction to the court below to expedite the trial by claiming that only 15 witnesses from the side of prosecution so far have been examined and 10 more are left. Mr. Moharana learned counsel for the Vigilance department submits that let a direction be issued to the learned court below in that regard as prayed for.

4. In view of the above, the CRLMC stands disposed of with a direction to the learned C.J.M., Balasore to expedite and close the trial in V.G.R. Case No. 30 of 1993 which is pending since 2002 preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order without any further delay.

5. An urgent certified copy of this order be issued as per rules.

6. A free copy of the above order be issued in favour of Mr. Moharana, learned Standing counsel for the Vigilance department for reference and necessary action. (R.K.Pattanaik) Judge [[
