Heard Mr. U. Barik, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Zafarulla, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 3.

According to Mr. Barik, the petitioner is aggrieved by the tardy manner in which investigation is proceeding in connection with Baisinga P.S. Case No.10 dated 16.01.2019 registered for commission of offences under Sections 323/294/420/506/34 of I.P.C. During course of hearing, he submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj (opposite party No.3) on 28.01.2022 by filing a grievance petition vide Annexure-2 enclosing the copy of the complaint through speed post on the same day, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj to take a decision on the grievance petition of the petitioner within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj to take a decision on the grievance petition dated 28.01.2022 of the petitioner under Annexure-2 in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.
