Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 05.05.2021 in connection with Angul P.S. Case No. 396 of 2017 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 1031 of 2017 pending in the court of learned S.D.J.M., Angul for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 364-A of the IPC.

Considering the submissions made, the materials on record, the period of detention already undergone and the fact that the allegedly kidnapped person has already been rescued and the ransom money of Rs.1,10,000/- has already been recovered coupled with the fact that the other co-accused persons have already been released on bail as per orders passed by this Court in BLAPL Nos.

7324, 8930, 8931 of 2017, BLAPL No. 8174 of 2021 and BLAPL No. 115 of 2018, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial court on each date of posting of the case without fail. 5.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
