Petitioner Mr. A.R. Panda, Advocate - Versus - State of Odisha ...
Opposite Party Mr. P. Tripathy, Addl. Standing Counsel
CORAM:
JUSTICE SASHIKANTA MISHRA
ORDER
15.02.2022 1.
This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
Order No.
1.
2.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3.
Considering the submissions made and the nature of accusations as also the fact that the seized contraband is more than commercial quantity, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail. However, having regard to the period of detention, which is nearly two and half years, this Court feels it proper to direct the trial Court to try and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order. 4.
BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
5.
Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
