CORAM:

ORDER

Order No.

16.03.2022 1.

1.

This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2.

The Petitioner in this writ petition seeks for a direction for early disposal of Khasmahal Lease Case No. 157 of 2020 stated to be pending before the Tahasildar, Sadar, Cuttack-Opposite Party No.3.

3.

Mr. Nayak, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner is in forcible possession of the land in question and her father's name has been reflected in the remark column of the R.O.R. under Annexure-1. The land is in forcible possession of the Petitioner since the time of her father. He further submits that the Petitioner is suffering from cancer and requires money for her treatment. Hence, finding no other alternative, the Petitioner has filed this writ petition for the aforesaid relief. 4.

From the averments made in the writ petition and taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for the Petitioner, this Court is not clear about the status of Khasmahal Lease Case No.157 of 2020. Further, the Petitioner is in forcible

// 2 // possession of the land in question. Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain the prayer made in this writ petition. 5.

Accordingly, this writ petition being devoid of any merit stands dismissed.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
