This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

The aforesaid contempt has been filed for noncompliance of the directions contained in the order dated 05.03.2013 passed in W.P.(C) No.3843 of 2013, whereby the Additional District Magistrate, Bhubaneswar was directed to dispose of the pending Revision Lease Case No.755 of 1987 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of the order.

3. Since the proceedings were not finalized within the stipulated time, the aforesaid contempt was filed after almost four and half years.

4. Upon notice, I.A. No.78 of 2020 was filed by the Opposite Party No.2 seeking extension of the period of time originally granted vide order dated 05.03.2013 for the reasons stated in the application.

5. At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the parties are agreed that the revision proceedings have reached the stage of passing of the order fixed for 09.09.2022.

6. Learned counsel for the Contemnors assures the Court that the pending proceedings would be concluded one way or other by 30.09.2022.

7. In view of the aforesaid stand, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present contempt.

8. The CONTC is accordingly disposed of as infructuous.
