This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioners in this writ application pray for a direction for early disposal of Remand R.C. No.418 of 2001 stated to be pending before the Additional Sub-Collector-cumConsolidation Officer, Kendrapara-Opposite Party No.2. 3.
It is submitted by Mr. Mohanty, learned counsel for the Petitioners that although there is no legal impediment for early disposal of Remand R.C. No.418 of 2001, the authority is not taking any step for disposal of the same in accordance with law. 4.
Miss Mishra, learned Additional Standing Counsel, on the other hand, submits that she has no instruction as to the status of the case before the said authority and pendency of the matters of similar nature before that court. Hence, she prays for some time to take instruction in the matter.

Taking into consideration the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties and in view of the order proposed to be passed, this Court feels it proper to proceed with the matter without waiting for learned State counsel to obtain instruction. 6.
This writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction that in the event the Petitioners move an application for early disposal of Remand R.C. No.418 of 2001 stated to be pending before the Additional Sub-Collector-cum-Consolidation Officer, Kendrapara-Opposite Party No.2 detailing the grounds therein within a period of two weeks hence, he shall do well to consider and dispose of Remand R.C. No.418 of 2001 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of filing of such application along with certified copy of this order, if the same is still pending and there is no legal impediment. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
