Heard Mr. S.N. Nayak, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

Perused the record. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to disburse the outstanding amount of Rs.50,000/- towards the settlement of final bill within a stipulated period and further to pay interest @ 12% per annum from the due date or in alternative to release the accrued interest on Rs.23,26,887/- within a stipulated period.

Mr. S.N. Nayak, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State contended that save and except Rs.50,000/-, the outstanding amount has been released in favour of the petitioner. If any amount is left out, the

petitioner is at liberty to move before the appropriate authority in terms of the agreement executed between the parties.

Considering the contentions raised by learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, since the matter arises out of a contract, it is open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum ventilating its grievances in terms of the contract.

With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
