Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 19.01.2022 in connection with Jaleswar P.S. Case No.17 of 2022 corresponding to Special G.R. Case No.20 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Balasore for the alleged commission of offence under Section 21(b) of NDPS Act.

Considering the submissions and the fact that the seized contraband is less than commercial quantity, being 29 grams of Brown Sugar, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case without fail and further he shall appear before the IIC of Jaleswar Police Station on every Monday at 10 a.m. for a period of six months and such fact shall be certified by the IIC,
Jaleswar Police Station to the Court below once in every month.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
