Heard Mr. Tripathy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Zafrulla, learned Additional Standing Counsel through video conferencing mode.

According to Mr. Tripathy, the petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Laxmisagar P.S. Case No. 316 of 2021 registered for commission of offences under Sections 294, 323, 341, 380, 451, 506 of the I.P.C. read with Section 25 & 27 of the Arms Act and Section 66-A and 66-E of the Information Technology(Amendment) Act, 2008. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances the petitioner has approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party No2) on 11.2.2022 under Annexure-2 by filing a grievance petition sent through speed post on the same date but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the grievance petition under

// 2 // Annexure-2 within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above grievance petition in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 4.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
