The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite party no.3 to take steps on the letter of opposite party no.4 vide Annexure-4 dated 25.02.2021 regarding appointment of the petitioner under the provisions of Odisha Civil Service (Rehabilitation Assistance) Rules, 1990 within a stipulated time.

In course of hearing, counsel for the petitioner states that claiming compassionate appointment the petitioner has already filed application before the authority which has been recommended by the B.D.O. to the Collector vide Annexure-4 dated 25.02.2021 and on receipt of the same the Collector has also intimated the District Panchayat Officer for certain requirements. It is contended that though such requirements have already been complied with vide Annexure-5 dated
22.03.2021, but till date no decision has been taken by the authority.

In the above view of the matter, this writ petition stands disposed of directing opposite party no.3 to consider the case of the petitioner with regard to compassionate appointment and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
