Heard Mr. Dash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Zafrulla, learned Additional Standing Counsel through video conferencing mode.

According to Mr. Dash, the petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Bhandaripokhari P.S. Case No. 20 of 2022 registered for commission of offences under Sections 498-A, 323, 304-B, 302, 506/34 of the I.P.C. read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances the petitioner has approached the Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak (opposite party No2) on 10.2.2022 under Annexure-2 series by filing a grievance petition sent through speed post on the same date but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the grievance petition under Annexure-2 series within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above grievance petition in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
