1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. Heard.

3. In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the opposite party Nos.1- Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack and 2-Controller of Examination, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack respectively to correct his father's name in the High School Certificate issued in his favour by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had approached the opposite party No.1- Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack by filing an application on 30.07.2013 through proper channel seeking alteration of his father name which was wrongly printed in the High School Certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack. He had also filed a representation on 22.08.2013 to the opposite party No.4- Headmaster, Sivananda Centenary Boys High School, Chidananda Vihar, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar seeking redressal of his grievance. The said representation dated 22.08.2013 has been

// 2 // forwarded to the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack. But, the issue has not yet been addressed, though more than two years have passed.

In view of such facts and submissions made, let the authorities decide and take a decision on the representation filed by the petitioner and do needful within a period of fifteen days of production/ presentation of certified copy of this order by the petitioner, failing which, the opposite party No.1- Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack shall personally present before this Court to explain the delay in disposal of the representation.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.

7. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
