This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not want to press the BLAPL Application.

The same is accordingly disposed of as not pressed. 5.
It is stated that the petitioner is in custody since 29.12.2020 and trial has not commenced. As prayed for, the learned Court in seisin over the matter is called upon to expedite the trial and to conclude the same within a period of eight months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.

It shall be open to the petitioner to renew his prayer in the event the trial is not concluded within the time stipulated and delay is not attributable to the petitioner.
