1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode. Order No.

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

3. The Petitioner is in custody since 18th January, 2022 in connection with Mangalabag P.S.

Case No.10/2022 corresponding to G.R. Case No.60/2022 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C. (City), Cuttack for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 419/420//34 of I.P.C. and Sections 22/23 of PNDT Act.

4. The allegation is that the Petitioner was involved in prenatal determination of sex in an Ultra Sound Clinic at Cuttack. It is also alleged that the Petitioner was taking money for the same. Some other persons were also involved and were functioning as a group. As it appears, all other co-accused persons have been rereleased on bail including one Manas Ranjan Panda as per the order passéd by this Court in BLAPl No.1280/2022. Charge sheet has already been submitted in the meantime.

5. Having regard to the above facts and the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the Petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the court in seisin over the matter in the aforesaid case including the condition that he shall appear before the court below on each date of posting of the case without fail.

6. The BLAPL is disposed of.

7. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
