This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr. K.C. Sahoo, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. At the outset, Mr. Sahoo is permitted to correct the description of the petitioner in cause title in Court today. 3.

According to Mr. Sahoo, the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities in extending him the benefits under Biju Pucca Ghara Scheme though he is eligible to get the same. He submits that though highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Block Development Officer, Baramba (opposite party No.3) on 17.01.2022 by filing a representation vide Annexure-1, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without

// 2 // expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Block Development Officer, Baramba (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-1 in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
