Heard Mr.P.K.Ray, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.K.Nanda, learned Addl. Government Advocate. 3.
According to Mr.Ray, the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the Land Acquisition Officer-cum-Collector, Khurda (opposite party No.2) in taking a decision on his representation dated 6.3.2020 submitted under Annexure-7 series wherein he has prayed for enhancement of quantum of compensation vis-àvis acquisition of his Plot Nos. 851 and 852 of Mouza Pathargadia, P.S.-Chandaka in the district of Khurda. He further submits that though highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Land Acquisition Officer-cum-Collector, Khurda (opposite party No.2) on 6.3.2020 by filing a representation vide Annexure-7 series, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period. 4.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court
// 2 // directs the Land Acquisition Officer-cum-Collector, Khurda (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-7 series in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 6.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
