Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 28.01.2022 in connection Colliery P.S. Case No. 46 of 2022 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 211 of 2022 pending in the court of learned S.D.J.M., Talcher for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 409/380/34 of IPC.

It is alleged that the petitioner who was working as a Peon in the Dera Branch of UCO Bank committed theft of cash worth Rs.30 lakhs along with one Sanjay Kumar Gochhayat-cash in-charge of the said Bank. The entire act has been caught in the CCTV camera installed in the bank. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the coaccused-Sanjay Kumar Gochhayat, has already been released on bail as per order passed by this Court in BLAPL

No.1575/2022.

Considering the submissions, the materials on record and the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that the petitioner shall furnish cash security of Rs.2 lakhs (Rupees Two Lakhs) in the shape of short term fixed deposit in any Nationalized Bank being pledged to the Court and shall also furnish property security of Rs.5 lakhs. 6.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
