Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 25.06.2021 in connection with Markatnagar P.S. Case No.62 of 2021 corresponding to G.R. Case No.452 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Cuttack for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 394 of IPC.

As directed, a comprehensive affidavit has been filed by the wife of the petitioner stating that out of 41 cases registered against the petitioner, he has been enlarged on bail in all the cases except seven.

The allegation against the petitioner is that he tried to snatch the gold chain of the informant and also assaulted her being associated with two other persons.

Considering the submissions, materials on record, the period of detention in custody and the fact that charge sheet has already been submitted in the case, I am inclined to allow the prayer for

bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case failing which appropriate orders shall be passed to take him to custody again by the Court below. Further he shall not be involved in any other criminal activities and in such event, the bail granted shall be treated as automatically cancel.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
