This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for both the parties.

This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner with the following relief:

" It is therefore prayed that in view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the Hon'ble Court may be pleased to admit the writ petition, issue rule nisi calling upon the opposite parties to show cause as to :

i) Why the petitioner shall not be regularized in the post of Watchman-cum-Sweeper in District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Mayurbhanj from the date of his initial appointment and joining on 01.07.2000 with all consequential service benefits;

ii) Why the arrears of salary of the petitioner shall not be calculated and released in his favour within a stipulated period iii) Why any other order(s)/direction9s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper shall not be passed to secure the ends of justice"

It is submitted by learned counsel for the Petitioner that ventilating his grievance, he filed a representation before the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare

// 2 // Department, Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.1 on 26.11.2021, on which, no decision has been taken till date. Accordingly, a prayer has been made to direct the Opposite Party No.1 to dispose of the said representation within a stipulated period of time. 5.

Considering the limited nature of grievance and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the Opposite Party No.1 to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 26.11.2021 (Annexure-6) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law and in the light of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court as well as this Court. Opposite Party No.1 is also directed to dispose of the same by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Decision so taken be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter. 6.

With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. 7.
