This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr. M.K. Mohanty, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.R. Dash, learned Additional Government Advocate.

At the outset, Mr. Mohanty undertakes to serve an extra copy of the writ application on the learned counsel for the State in course of the day.

According to Mr. Mohanty, the petitioner, who happens to be the only daughter of one Baidhar Garnayak, S/o Rama Chandra Garanayak of village Nuagaon under Angul Tahasil is aggrieved by the non-payment of compensation vis-a-vis Plot No.4 under Khata No.25 of Mouza-Nuagaon measuring an area of Ac.2.26 decimals land which stood recorded in the name of her father though the same was acquired by the State Authority for the purpose of construction of Kantamila Minor Irrigation Project in the district of Angul during the year 1995. He further submits that though highlighting all her grievances, the

// 2 // petitioner has approached the Collector, Angul (opposite party No.2) on 24.12.2019 by filing a representation under Annexure-4 however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that that a direction be issued to the Collector, Angul to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector, Angul (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of legal heir certificate by the petitioner after giving her reasonable opportunity of hearing. The result of such exercise shall be communicated to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 7.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application in course of the day.
