This matter is taken up today in the National Lok Adalat through hybrid mode.

Mr.B.N.Rath, learned counsel for the Appellant - Claimant and Mr.G.P.Dutta, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company are present. The memo in support of the compromise between the AppellantClaimant and Respondent No.2-Insurance Company is kept in the record.

The learned Member, 7th M.A.C.T., Bhubaneswar vide judgment dated 29.11.2018 passed in M.A.C. No.25 of 2016 in an application under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, had directed the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company to pay a sum of Rs.22,760/- (Rupees twenty two thousand seven hundred sixty) only alongwith simple interest @ 7% per annum to the

// 2 // Appellant-Claimant from the date of filing of the case., i.e., 09.02.2016 till the date of payment.

It is now agreed between the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company and Appellant-Claimant that a modified consolidated amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) shall be paid by the Insurance Company to the Appellant-Claimant within a period of eight weeks from today.

It is therefore directed that the Respondent No.2Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid consolidated agreed amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal. 6.

As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat, no court fee shall be levied.

The MACA is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
