Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

Considering the nature of accusations and the existence of materials prima facie in support thereof, which indicate that the petitioner also played an active role in the alleged occurrence, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected. It is however open to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after examination of some material witnesses including the informant.

BLAPL is accordingly rejected.

Learned Trial Court shall also try to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.
