1. The Court has viewed the ground situation in the Nimpur Resettlement and Rehabilitation Colony on line in real time. The officials of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) present at the site explained that regular collection of garbage is being undertaken and sanitation facilities are also available.

2. As regards the availability of a Public Health Centre, it is stated that the Jagatpur Urban Public Health Centre located at a distance of 500 meters from the colony would cater to the needs of the colony people. There are stated to be primary schools and a high school located within a distance of 1 Kilometer from the colony. It is acknowledged that on account of the intervention of the Court, the situation in the colony has improved and that Mr. P.K. Mohanty, learned Senior Counsel for the CMC has also ensured that the directions of this Court are complied with in letter and spirit.

3. If, according to the learned counsel for the Petitioners, there is still a need for an additional school in the area, then it will be open to the residents to first petition the State Government in that regard and after following up on such representation, to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

4. No further directions are therefore called for at present. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
