This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode). Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
This is an application under section 438 of Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Turumunga P.S. Case No. 02 of 2016 corresponding to Special Case No. 267/06 of 2016 pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge -cum- Special Judge, Keonjhar for the commission of the alleged offences punishable under sections 363/ 451/354/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with section 8 of the POCSO Act and under section 3(i), (xi) of the SC and ST (PoA) Act.

In view of the nature and gravity of accusation against the petitioner as per the first information report, while not inclining to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, I direct that in the event the petitioner surrenders and moves for bail before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be disposed of by the learned Court below in accordance with law expeditiously. The case records shall be made available to the Court concerned.
The ABLAPL stands disposed of.
