1. Heard Mr. P.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as Mr. D. Moharana, learned Standing Counsel for the Vigilance Department.

2. The challenge in the present petition is against order dated 29.11.2021 of the learned Special Judge (Vigilance), Balangir in Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.78 of 2014 corresponding to CTR No.13/2018.

3. By virtue of the direction of this Court dated 4.12.2014 in BLAPL No.23067 of 2014, the passport of the Petitioner, who is an accused in the present case, was surrendered before the IO. Now the Petitioner seeks release of his passport for renewal of the same which has been expired w.e.f.4.9.2015. The said prayer was rejected by the learned Special Judge (Vigilance), Balangir.

4. It is submitted on behalf of the Petitioner that since the children of the Petitioner are staying abroad, the renewal of his passport is necessary for any emergency purpose.

5. Considering the limited grievance of the Petitioner, the Investigating Officer is directed to take steps for renewal of the passport in cooperation with the present Petitioner as soon as possible.

6. With the aforesaid direction, the CRLMC is disposed of.

7. An urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
