This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.
Heard Mr. R.K. Acharya, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. B.K. Padhi, learned Central Government Counsel and Mr. H.M. Dhal, learned Additional Government Advocate. 3.
According to Mr. Acharya, the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities in paying him just and fair compensation at present market rate by following due process of law as his land i.e. Plot No.344/412 covering an area of Ac.0.060 dec., corresponding to Khata No.65, Mouza-Buguda Colony in the district of Nayagarh has been used for construction of Khurda-Bolangir Rail Line Project. He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 25.01.2022 at Annexure-2 before the Collector and District Magistrate, Nayagarh (opposite party No.2) but till
// 2 // date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicated the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.
The writ petition is disposed of of accordingly. 6.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
