This matter is taken up by video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr.B.Bhuyan, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.A.R.Dash, learned Addl.

Government Advocate and Mr.A.P.Bose, learned counsel representing opposite party Nos. 4 to 7.

According to Mr.Bhuyan the petitioners are aggrieved by the action of the authorities particularly opposite party Nos. 2 and 3 who are threatening to disburse the compensation amount in respect of the schedule property in favour of opposite party Nos. 4 to 7 ignoring the demand of the petitioners over the said property.

During course of hearing Mr.Bhuyan wants to withdraw the writ petition as he wants to approach the Land Acquisition Officer, Anandapur Barrage Project, Soro in the district of Balasore (opposite party No.3) for redressal

// 2 // of the grievances of the petitioners and further prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the same within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioners to approach the opposite party No.3 by filing their grievance petition through registered post along with copy of this order within a period of two weeks hence and in the event such a grievance petition is filed the Land Acquisition Officer, Anandapur Barrage Project, Soro (opposite party No.3) is directed to issue notice to opposite party Nos. 4 to 7 and take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to opposite party i.e. Deba Dutta Ratha (opposite party No.4), Mira Ratha (opposite party No.5), Jagamaya Ratha (opposite party No.6) and Raghnunath Rath (opposite party No.7) and communicate the result of such exercise to the parties.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
