This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement Order No.

(Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for both the parties.

The present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner with a limited grievance to direct the Opposite Parties to extend similar benefits of revised Rigman-cum-Pump Operator scale of pay of Rs.975-1660/- w.e.f. 06.12.1991 and subsequent pay revision under the ORSP Rules, 1998, 2008 and 2017 and all consequential benefits with arrear in the light of the decisions under Annexure-4 within a stipulated period of time.

Learned counsel for the State submits in the event the Opposite Parties are directed to consider the representation of the Petitioner in accordance with law, he would have no objection to the same.

Considering the submissions made, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the Director of Geology, Odisha,

// 2 // Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.2 to consider the pending representation of the Petitioner dated 25.10.2021 under Annexure-6 in the light of the order passed by the Orissa Administrative Tribunal as well as the letter of the Director of Geology, which have been filed herewith as Annexures-4 and 5 to the writ petition, within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. It is needless to say that the Authority shall consider the said representation of the Petitioner dated 25.10.2021 and dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Decision so taken on the representation shall be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of ten days thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
