This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

This writ petition has been with the following relief: "Under the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, it is therefore, prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly issue writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ applicable and direct to the Opposite Party No.1 to give promotion to the Petitioner from the post of Deputy Ranger to the post of Forest Ranger, although the similarly situated employees and juniors have also promoted the said post and availed the promotional as well as all the service benefits, as deemed just and proper." 4.
Looking to the limited request involved herein and as this Court finds, the representation of the Petitioner involving the matter
// 2 // vide Annexure-7 since pending for consideration, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case disposes of the writ petition directing the Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Odisha, Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.1 to look into the grievance of the Petitioner vide Annexure-7 and take a decision as appropriate, taking into consideration the development through Annexures-5 and 6 and also the plea taken in the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of produciton of certified copy of this order so also copy of the writ petition by the petitioner.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. 6.
Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
