1. The matter is taken up through hybrid mode. Order No.

2. The petitioner challenges illegal selection and appointment to the post of Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper in Girls' Hostel, Odisha Adarsha Bidyalaya, At/Po. Madhapur, Sukinda in the district of Jajpur.

3. An advertisement was published on 14.09.2021 inviting applications for engagement of staff in the said Hostel. The petitioner applied for the post of Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper pursuant to the said advertisement.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the guidelines under Annexure-2 has stipulated that the preference shall be given to the local candidate preferably from the block area. If candidates are not available, the candidates belonging to adjacent block of respective district will be given preference for the post of

// 2 // Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper. The emphasis of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that preference to be given to his local residents seems to be missing under the category no. 2 i.e. Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper.

The grievance of the petitioner is totally misplaced since such kind of stipulation has not been mentioned against the post of sweeper in the said guidelines as well as in the Notification under Annexure-I. The person, who has been selected, comes under the same block and he cannot be ousted from the selection. Hence, the grievance of the petitioner is untenable.

6. Accordingly, this Court does not find it to be a fit case for interference. Hence deserve to be dismissed.
