This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Ms. S. Dash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.R. Dash, learned Additional Government Advocate. 3.

According to Ms. S. Dash, the petitioner, who happens to be a landless person is aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities more particularly, the Tahasildar, Narla (opposite party No.3) in taking a decision on his application for settlement of Government land in his favour, filed on 10.09.2019 (Annexure-3) under the Odisha Government Land Settlement Act, 1962. In such background, she prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on such application within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Tahasildar, Narla (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the application of the petitioner under Annexure-3

// 2 // in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application in course of the day.
