1. The matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. The petitioners have been continuing as contractual Data Entry Operators in the College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar (presently Odisha University of Technology and Research). They were appointed through an outsourcing agency, namely, M/s. Executive Security Service Pvt. Ltd.
3. The petitioners seek for direction to the opposite parties, especially, the University authority to issue an order to regularize their services since the petitioners have completed six years of service.
4. The petitioners were engaged through one service provider and they were serving at the University since 2016. However, the opposite party No.2 had disengaged them on 09.01.2022 and had issued advertisement seeking engagement of retired persons on
// 2 // consolidated remuneration basis for different work from different categories of employees.
5. Since the University is appointing retired persons for different jobs, the petitioners may be allowed to apply and be considered based on their experience and skill. If the petitioners so desire, they may approach the authority with representation and the authority shall consider the same keeping in view their long associate with the University and their skill and experience.
6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
