Heard Mr.S.A.Pattanaik, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.K.Mohanty, learned Addl. Standing Counsel.

According to Mr.Pattanaik the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities in extending him the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana though he is eligible to get the same. He further submits that though highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Collector & District Magistrate, Puri (opposite party No.2) on 14.2.2022 by filing a representation vide Annexure-4, however till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector & District Magistrate, Puri (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. While submitting certified copy of this order the petitioner is directed to supply copy of Annexure-4 to opposite party No.2.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
