This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking the following relief:

"It is therefore prayed that your Lordships may graciously be pleased to admit the writ petition, call for relevant records, after being heard from the both parties allow the writ petition to the extent that :

i) Issue appropriate writ/direction by directing the opp. Parties, particularly the O.P. No.1 and 3 to take promptitude action/ proper initiation in the matter of disposal of the representation/grievance petition which relates to grant of Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- in favour of the petitioner as 3rd financial up-gradation on completion of 30 years of service w.e.f. 01.01.2013 in terms of Finance Department resolution dt.06.02.2013 and the subsequent clarifications and resolutions issued by the Finance Department following which similar benefit has been extended in favour of identically placed persons as at Annexure-3."

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that a representation in this regard has been submitted to the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Govt. Fisheries and A.R.D. Department, Odisha, Opposite Party No.1 (Anneuxre-4), which according to the Petitioner is still pending for consideration. 5.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the limited nature of request involved in this matter, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner-cumSecretary to Govt. Fisheries and A.R.D. Department, Odisha, Opposite Party No.1 to consider the representation of the Petitioner vide Annexure-4, in accordance with law, if the same is still pending and take a lawful decision thereon, taking into consideration the development through Annexure-3 and the grounds taken in the writ petition within a period of two months from the date of communication of a certified copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition by the Petitioner, giving opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner by passing a speaking and reasoned order thereon. Decision so taken be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
