This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

None appears on behalf of the Petitioner when the matter is called. However, on verification of record, it is found that the Petitioner was the sole accused, who was arrested from the spot and from whose possession contraband ganja measuring 404 kg was recovered.

Considering the fact, this Court is not inclined to entertain the bail application. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and make all endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible within a period of four months from the date of communication of the order. The Petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer after four months.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
