2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

3. Considering the nature of accusations and the existence of materials in support thereof as also the fact that trial of the case is in progress with several witnesses remaining to be examined, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore rejected. Since this is a case of the year 2004, learned Court below shall do well to try and dispose of the case as early as possible, preferably within a period of 4 months.

4. The BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
