1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.
2. Heard.
3. In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction from this Court to the opposite parties to appoint him in Kosala Junior Mohavidyalaya, Kosala, in the district of Angul on compassionate ground after the sad demise of his father who was working as a Junior Librarian in the said institution.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner was working as a Junior Librarian in Kosala Junior Mohavidyalaya, Kosala, in the district of Angul. While the father of the petitioner was in service, he died on 10.09.2013. After the sad demise of his father, the petitioner applied for compassionate appointment under the Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme. However, such application was submitted to the authority i.e. the opposite party No.3- Principal, Kosala Junior Mohavidyalaya, Kosala, in the district of Angul after long lapse of seven years. Though the application was submitted to the authority i.e. the opposite party No.3 on 24.07.2020, no action has been taken on the same.

In view of nature of issue involved in this case, the authority i.e. the opposite party No.3- Principal, Kosala Junior Mohavidyalaya, Kosala, in the district of Angul is directed to decide the issue as per law within a period of three months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition. The petitioner is granted liberty to file a fresh application before the authority along with the certified copy of this order, if so desired.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
7. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
