This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.
Heard Mr. Amitabh Pradhan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. H.M. Dhal, learned Additional Government Advocate.

According to Mr. Pradhan, the grievance of the petitioners in this case is that without following due procedure of law particularly, the provisions of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013, a move is on to displace the petitioners, who are residing at Ghunghutipada in Sambalpur town for so many year in the pretext of implementing "SAMALEI YOJANA". He further submits that though highlighting their grievances, the petitioners have moved the Collector, Sambalpur (opposite party No.2) on 03.01.2022 by filing a grievance petition under Annexure-3 however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that that a direction be issued to the Collector, Sambalpur to take a decision on the
// 2 // above noted grievance petition within a specific time period. He further prays that for the interregnum, the petitioners be protected 4.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector, Sambalpur (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above noted grievance petition of the petitioners under Annexure-3 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. It is further directed till a decision is taken on the said grievances petition; no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioners.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 6.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application in course of the day.
