This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioners in this writ petition seek to assail the order dated 11th July, 2013 passed by the Assistant Settlement Officer, Camp at Rental Colony, Bhubaneswar in Rent Objection Case Nos.3078 and 3079 of 2013 arising out of Rent Case No.5957 of 2013.

It is submitted by Mr. Jena, learned counsel for the Petitioners that the Petitioners filed two separate mutation cases in Rent Objection Case Nos. 3078/2620 and 3079/2621 of 2013, which were disposed of vide order passed in Rent Case No.5957 of 2013. Assailing the same, the Petitioners have filed two appeals before the Settlement Officer, which are pending before Additional Sub-Collector, BhubaneswarOpposite Party No.7. 4.

In course of hearing, Mr. Jena, learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that interest of justice will be best served, if a direction is made for early disposal of the aforesaid two appeals.

Mr. Mishra, learned Additional Government Advocate submits that he has no instruction in the matter. However, he has no objection, if a direction is made for early disposal of the aforesaid appeals in accordance with law, if the same are still pending.

Taking into consideration the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, this Court disposes of this writ petition with a direction to the Additional Sub-Collector, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.7 to consider the appeals (Appeal case Nos.230 and 231 of 2021) and disposes of the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if the same are still pending and there is no legal impediment for disposal of the same.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
