This matter is taken up through Hybrid Mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

Taking into account, the quantity of contraband seized and the role ascribed to the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to entertain this bail application.

It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, the petitioner is in custody since 23/24.12.2020 and the trial has not commenced. Learned Court in seisin over the matter is called upon to conclude the trial within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of the certified copy of this order.

5.

It shall be open for the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail, if the trial is not concluded within the time frame and delay is not attributable to the petitioner.

The BLAPL accordingly stands disposed of.
